Emotions Lab is an immersive, six-hour, fun and learning-packed applied drama workshop for children aged 7 to 12 that builds emotional literacy and the foundations for emotionally intelligent behaviour.

what is Applied Drama?
in applied drama, we employ and maximise the role of dramatic play in children's holistic development. children learn drama skills and develop their creativity, but the learning aim is, in our case, building emotional intelligence.
what will your child learn?
- what emotions are
- what the different types of emotions are, and how do we express them
- why do we feel the way we do
- how emotions affect the way we think and behave
- why do others feel different to us
- we can change the way we feel
- what it means to be emotionally intelligent
what will your child enjoy?
- a memorable ‘out of the box’ drama workshop
- life-lasting learning
- a warm and playful workshop leader with expertise in the field
- an innovative and research-based approach with proven impact in assisting emotional intelligence in children aged 7 - 12
how do we work?
the workshop is designed using our research-based applied drama for emotional intelligence model. by immersing them in an imaginary world and role-playing, we unleash children's curiosity and agency to organically build emotional intelligence.
Sara Paz, our workshop leader, has a Master's in Applied Theatre and is a specialist in applied drama for emotional intelligence. she has over two decades of leading drama to children and has been developing this approach for over ten years.
why choose this workshop?
research shows that emotional intelligence is key to children's well-being, academic productivity, and ability to thrive. our expertise provides your child a safe space to unleash, explore and understand their emotionality in a playful way.
