The Adventures of a Brave Navigator in the Unknown Seas

2016 | Watch | India

This workshop focused on building emotional literacy around attachment, self-efficacy and self-regulation of fear.

Discoveries and testimonies made by navigators and their parents:

‘Mostly people bully because they have issues at home, or they feel bad about themselves.’

‘Even if he’s tough, it doesn’t mean he doesn’t have fear.’

‘We can talk to the bully and tell him that what he’s doing is wrong.’

‘If you have any conflicts, how you can solve them.’

‘In school there are a lot of fights, I’ll tell them to stop fighting.’

‘The workshop helped him face his fears.’

‘...overcome shyness… teamwork and collaboration with imagination’

‘I saw the caterpillar evolving over these days’

‘Everyday was a new joy and discovery’

This workshop created and was delivered in collaboration with Silvia De Luigi to a cohort of low-arts engagement Goan chidren aged 7-11.

It was funded by the Leverhulme Foundation / Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, in partnership with the Portuguese cultural organisation Fundação Oriente India.
